They’re undemocratic. Criminal. Unlawful. Child neglectors. Hostage takers. Illegal. Disrupters. Extremist. Unacceptable. Causing mischief. Dangerous. Noisy. Obnoxious. Annoying. Hosers. Inconsiderate. Selfish. Unscientific.
In fact, scan through the mainstream press on the Canadian truckers quest to end vaccine mandates and other health restrictions and every insult in the book save dumb is thrown at these protesters.
I don’t remember reading that they were also inventive, creative, dedicated, fun loving, friendly, patriotic, skeptical, grassroots, brave, individualistic, resourceful or inspiring.
And yet surely, these adjectives seem the more descriptive.
Let’s remember that the ‘experts’ have gotten the Novel Coronavirus wrong at each step of the way.
Whether it was the Canadian virologist at the beginning of the pandemic who smugly explained that the virus could only transmitted when one is exhibiting symptoms or Dr. Fauci saying that masks aren’t effective.
Or that everything would be fine when we discovered a vaccine.
The list is long and the statistics are dubious and frustratingly hard to find.
The BBC reports one thing is for certain though:
According to Forbes figures cited by the charity, the world's 10 richest men are: Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Bernard Arnault and family, Bill Gates, Larry Ellison, Larry Page, Sergey Brin, Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Ballmer and Warren Buffet.
While collectively their wealth grew from $700bn to $1.5tn between March 2020 and November 2021, there is significant variation between them, with Mr Musk's fortune growing by more than 1,000%, while Mr Gates' rose by a more modest 30%.
And Pfizer isn’t doing to too shabbily either:
Pfizer gross profit for the twelve months ending September 30, 2021 was $45.185B, a 74.32% increase year-over-year.
Astra Zeneca? AstraZeneca revenue for the quarter ending September 30, 2021 was $9.866B, a 49.98% increase year-over-year.
With the news that boosters’ efficacy goes down after only four months, things are looking rosy for Big Pharma.
Don’t forget they are selling us the vaccines. And if anyone has forgotten the opiate crisis let me remind you that it was Big Pharma that were responsible for that killing spree all in the name of profit.
So if you think the truckers are dumb for putting their collective foot down, why not ask some critically minded questions for yourself instead of going along with the pre-written script?
