At first, I tried to go with it.
I started buying what I really wanted since everything is expensive anyway.
Not pinching pennies made me tip more out of gratitude for the service.

But since last week I have been battling severe sticker shock.
Morning coffee and pastry now run me 10 or 15 dollars.
Before I knew it I was skipping breakfast and lunch too.
Last night I realized how starved I had become.
I ate Chinese take out and Japanese take out.
This week the Bank of Canada announced that Canadians have piled on alarming debt.
So it's the spendthrift Canadian consumer who is responsible for soaring inflation and imminent collapse?!
Sadly, this means the Bank of Canada is in cover your ass mode.
